    Sharing our Vision

    Our vision

Become a leader in our industry and a major player in each of our market segments and key geographical market.

    Our mission

To deliver economic value to customers through Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility management of their assets, projects, products and systems, resulting in license to operate risk reduction and performance improvement.

    Our values

Our Group has built a successful global business based upon its long-standing reputation. This reputation is one of the most valuable assets for the Group worldwide and is reflected in our core and business values.

These values, shared by everyone and to which each of us subscribes, are the major unifying factors of Bureau Veritas. They reinforce our unity and cohesion and help promote our strategy of profitable growth.

Our core values "Integrity and Ethics" and "Impartiality and Independence" were the focal point of the work carried out by our profession in 2003, under the leadership of the International Federation of Inspection Agencies (IFIA), which led to the drafting of our first Code of Ethics, published in October 2003.

    Bureau Veritas Compliance Programme

In 2009, the Ethics Committee decided not only to publish a new Compliance Programme but to accompany the deployment of the new Code of Ethics with an extensive implementation programme to ensure that every employee has read and understood the Code of Ethics; that every manager is also familiar with the Code of Ethics Internal Policies and Procedures; and that Bureau Veritas has in place and is able to demonstrate that it has in place, an effective Compliance Programme.

In order for the Bureau Veritas employees to better understand our code of ethics and what is at stake, the 2009 version is accompanied by a training session that all employees are to perform. This code of ethics training can be done through an e-learning online module available on the Bureau Veritas intranet or through an in-class collective session.

Today, the Bureau Veritas Code of ethics is available in 20 languages and the e-learning module is available in 10 languages, covering 90% of employees.
